Yes! New players are more than welcome, and you do not need previous LARP experience to attend. Staff and experienced players will help you learn the basics, including character creation, combat safety, roleplay expectations, and common game calls.You do not need a perfect costume, a full understanding of the rules, or years of experience before your first event. NPCs may portray monsters, townsfolk, travelers, enemies, spirits, merchants, or other roles assigned by staff. NPCing is FREE, and we will feed you for the entire weekend! Who can play and do I need experience?

The Aether is open to players 18 and older. Players or NPCs who are 16 or older may attend only with a parent or legal guardian present. You do not need previous LARP experience to join. Whether you are brand new or have been LARPing for years, we want the game to be welcoming, clear, and easy to step into.

How do tickets and registration work?

Tickets are sold exclusively through our events portal on the Events page. You can register for your chosen gathering online, but please be aware that all ticket payments are collected in person at the gate during check-in. (This is subject to change for now)

How much do events cost?

One-day events cost $35 with pre-pay or $40 at the door.Full weekend events cost $100 with pre-pay or $110 at the door.Full weekend events run from Friday night through Sunday afternoon and include cabin accommodations with bunk beds for 3 days and 2 nights.Weekend events also include some form of food service, though the amount and type of food may vary by site and event. Details will be posted before each event so players know what to expect and what they may need to bring.Your event cost also helps support the full volunteer-run game experience, including plot, story, NPCs, props, encounters, logistics, and the ongoing world we are building for our players.

What should I bring to an event?

Do i need my own weapons or costume?
